Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Among other things they are used to keep you signed in, remember your choices and measure how the website is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage, which work the same way — the rules below apply to all of them.

Your consent
The first time you visit bomae.dk we ask whether you want to accept cookies. Until you decide, we set only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work — all statistics and marketing are off by default.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Categories of cookies
- Necessary — make the website work: sign-in, security and remembering your cookie choice. They cannot be opted out of, because the site does not work without them
- Preferences — remember your choices, for example language and settings in Boligdrømme
- Statistics — help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. The information is used in aggregate, not to recognise you personally
- Marketing — used to measure the effect of our advertising and to show you relevant ads on other sites
Cookie declaration
The overview below shows every cookie on the website, who sets it, what it is used for and how long it stays in your browser. It is updated automatically when we change something on the site.
Necessary cookies we always set
These are set regardless of your consent, because the website cannot work without them. They are used neither for statistics nor for marketing:
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in across bomae.dk, Boligdrømme and Mit Bomae. It expires after 30 days, or when you sign out
- A short-lived cookie during sign-in with Google, which ensures the sign-in attempt is your own. It is deleted after 10 minutes
- A cookie from our consent solution that remembers your answer to the cookie question — without it we would have to ask you on every page view
Local storage in Boligdrømme
Boligdrømme stores your dream directly in your own browser, so you can carry on without creating an account. A random id and the dream itself are stored — areas, home preferences, favourites and the financial figures you enter yourself. We cannot identify you from that id alone.
If you later create an account, the dream is linked to your user. You can always delete it again from Mit Bomae, or by clearing your browser's data for bomae.dk.
Third parties
Some cookies are set by services we use on the website. They are independently responsible for their own processing of your information:
- Cookiebot — obtains and documents your cookie consent (necessary)
- Google — Google Tag Manager and the measurement tools configured within it, plus sign-in with Google (statistics and marketing)
- Apple — sign-in with Apple (necessary if you use that option)
- Trustpilot — shows our reviews on the website
- OpenStreetMap and OpenRouteService — maps and travel-time calculation in Boligdrømme
We use Google's consent mode, so Google may only set cookies for statistics and advertising once you have accepted. Read more about how we process your information in our privacy policy.
How to delete or block cookies
Besides the button at the top of this page, you can delete and block cookies yourself in your browser. The steps are under privacy or security settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Note that the website may not work correctly if you block all cookies — you will not be able to stay signed in, for example.
